Dave Chappelle's Netflix special is offending critics, but viewers don't care
Chappelle's new comedy special draws heavy criticism for 'courting controversy'
Just watched the Netflix special.
I found it funny, uncomfortable, thought provoking and purposely offending.
Exactly what comedy should be. The PC critics can stuff it. Dave nails a variety of subjects with the same sharp edge he used in his old show. No one is safe from his targeting including the audience who he goads into believing he is about to slam Trump and instead accusing them of being a pain in the ass and impossible to entertain in an oversensitive society. Dave hits blacks, whites, alphabet people, Jesse Smollett, the death of comedy, PC culture and makes the audience wince with his Michael Jackson comments. Dave is sharp and insightful and tackles very uncomfortable subjects most comics would avoid.
Barstool Sports
Despite the critics the show is popular with viewers. If comedy doesn't make you squirm a little, it really isn't funny. America needs to find its sense of humor again, and lose the hypersensitivity that currently sweeps the nation.
Sticks and Stones is aptly named, in an era of those butthurt over words.
