It does not yet reflect the vote to see how many Senate Republicans joined their 230 House comrades to override states rights. It was sponsored by Republican Senator Pat Roberts.
Who in the world would title a bill "the dark act"? It doesn't prevent stores from stocking GMF food. It's about freaking labels like "cigarettes will kill you". How did that work out?

It's about states rights. The Republicans were trying to crush states rights.
They used the flimsiest of excuses by saying food is interstate commerce. Can you bleev they are using a LIBERAL argument to crush states rights? Amazing, isn't it.
Especially considering states like California have automotive emission requirements for cars which are also sold in the interstate market. States have all kinds of state level regulations for things sold across state lines. Hell, they all have different rules for credit cards and banking, which is money. It doesn't get more interstate than that!
This is why I say the Republicans are obviously owned by someone in the food industry. And this is why I constantly point out the GOP has sacrificed every one of its principles while keeping the rubes totally fooled, thus opening the door to someone like Trump.
