There are about 250,000,000 white people in the US and about 46,000,000 black people in the US.

Figures from 2018 show there were 465,000 blacks in prisons and 430,000 whites in prisons.

Therefor the % of the white population in prisons is 0.17% and the % of black is 1%.

The ratio of the two is 1/0.17 = 5.8.

And yet blacks commit far more violent crimes.

Has it ever occurred to you that black people may just commit far more crimes that land people in prison per capita? It isn't because of their race, but because of a combination of poverty and cultural issues in many black communities, cultural issues being the single biggest factor.
