Cuba's newly legalized private businesses are paying their workers many, many times more than what they had been making when they worked for...

The one making nice with the USSR was only 90 miles offshore. That kinda makes a difference, or maybe you like the idea of nukes that close to us.

It has been 32 years since the end of the USSR and we have more sanctions on Cuba than ever before.

What is the excuse now?

/—-/ Translation: You’re a Cuban apologist .....
You understand nothing about Cuba or its modern history. That is not my fault and it is not my responsibility to educate you. My advice is that you do some reading about Cuba and stop making childish and ridiculous claims about it.

/----/ Yet, you can't make one argument against my claims. All you have are childish insults. I accept your surrender.
Like Commie Harris, you can't answer direct questions.

/——/ Bad news for you Glasnost. Rauel now allows small businesses to exist in Cuba. He’s rolling back the hard restrictions of Fidel. And Cubans are starting to thrive even though the embargo is still on. Sad for you watching Communism being replaced with capitalism.

July 2023: The difference is enormous,” said Jakcel Conteras, a former vet’s assistant who is now one of hundreds of thousands of Cubans working in the private sector. “When I worked for the state, I earned 800 to 900 pesos a month, now I earn between 10,000 and 15,000 pesos a month.”

You people have no idea what the Cuban Revolution was all about. Do you not know what life was like in Cuba before the Revolution? Do you not know who was running the Cuban government before the revolution? No ...... you have no idea. Private businesses would have flourished in Cuba long ago if the US had not intervened.

I know that before the 1959 revolution, Cuba was one of the richest countries in Latin America, and the country received a net number of people moving into the country.

All of that was reversed after the communists seized all of the private businesses and housing.

No matter how bad a situation may be, adopting communism always makes the situation worse, not better.

Thanks to 6 plus decades of US sanctions.

Sanctions always make a bad situation worse. But it was not the sanctions that caused the bad situation in the first place.

As a libertarian, I am against the embargo, and I support free trade and global capitalism.

What I do not understand is why the communists are against the embargo. If they hate capitalism, then why would they want Nike, Wal-Mart, and McDonald's to start doing business in Cuba?

.... for whose benefit? You do not understand anything about Cuba.
.. adopting communism always makes the situation worse, not better.
... and you know nothing about communism either. In fact, you don't even know who was a communist.

They don't want to know, they like to believe Castro and his men just came down from the hills one day and overthrew a Democracy headed by that big Democrat Batista. :abgg2q.jpg:

They are voluntary idiots.

As a libertarian, I trust workers to choose the job that they believe is best for them.

Communists refer to this as "exploitation."

Well, I say: bring on the exploitation!

It looks like they have better stock, too.
