Cuba's newly legalized private businesses are paying their workers many, many times more than what they had been making when they worked for...

No he wasnt

the Shah was a key figure against the soviet union

Are you ever not wrong?

That proves nothing

US presidents often had glowing things to say about the Soviets

Thats just diplomacy

One can lead a horse to water, but cannot make them drink

Keep reveling in your ignorance, it seems to make you so damn happy.

Lets see

In 1962 the Shah became less hostile toward the soviets in a small way

Probably to get a better deal from the US

then 17 years and 5 presidents later jimmy carter lowered the boom on him?

I think you know better than that

Your low grade revisionist history is laughable

I am stating facts.

Correct. He went to Egypt, Morocco, The Bahamas, and Mexico , then came to US for medical treatments before leaving again. he died in Egypt.
Jimmy Carter did not allow him to exile in the US

I have given you multiple fucking links. You can choose to ignore them, that is your SOP.

I cannot take your dishonesty any longer.

Good bye.

Scholars are a dime a dozen

And you found one who goes in for revisionist history

So, your response is to double-down on your stupidity and ignorance. Nice. :eusa_clap:

It is what the cult members do. Look at my discussion, no amount of evidence will ever get them to change their minds from what their beloved party has told them.

Wake me when you have something useful to say on the subject.

So, your response is to double-down on your stupidity and ignorance. Nice. :eusa_clap:
/——/ Refute what I said. What was stupid and ignorant on my part?
Cuba can get all it needs from fellow communist country China, cars, clothing, tools, electronics and food just like the US does. They are rich in natural resources to trade.
Tourism in Cuba is an industry that generates over 4.7 million arrivals as of 2018, and is one of the main sources of revenue for the island.
So instead of calling me names, explain how the US is responsible for Cuba’s communist hell hole?
You won’t explain, because you can’t.

Your fundamental premise and EVERYTHING you built upon it.
/—-/ Translation: You’re a Cuban apologist blaming the US for the failures of Castro’s utopia.
Now name anything Cuba needs that China and other countries can’t supply.

I think the US has normal relations with all sorts of leaders that are not "fine fellows".

We put the hammer down on Castro with one hand and helped a drug lord become a dictator with the other. The only difference between them is one of them was making nice with the USSR and one was not.

The one making nice with the USSR was only 90 miles offshore. That kinda makes a difference, or maybe you like the idea of nukes that close to us.

And the USSR has been gone for 32 years and we keep the sanctions in place why?

Though it is ironic that you bring up Iran, considering it was the Shah getting too close to the USSR that lead the US to either turn a blind eye to the danger of the revolution or take an active part in it, depending upon who you ask.

Jimmy Carter was so incompetent, he made the USSR look good.
