I'm defending people, neither the US nor Cuban governments are good.

Then I guess you're screwed.
I think they suspect it but cannot admit it.The problem is i think they do understand it but are ok with it for some reason,
True-true. Thing is there was never any justification for the embargo in the first place. Castro trusted Kennedy when he said he was going to go after the mafia in the US. Castro therefore assumed the US would applaud his own destruction of the American mafia in Cuba. I think actually Kennedy did appreciate Castro but then the Mafia turned the screws on him and rest is history.if the US had traded on a equal basis with Cuba and lifted the Embargo many Cubans would have respected them more but they are incapable of of it, they have to dictate.
I lived in Rhodesia during the bush wars. I found it very odd that the US closed its diplomatic relations with Rhodesia for "racial" concerns but the US was still running its embassy in South Africa. It is true that racism was the order of the day in Rhodesia but the law of Apartheid had already been abolished there while it was THE LAW full strength in South Africa. What sort of standard was that supposed to be?..... they also helped to end Apartheid in South Africa by sending armed forces to Angola after the South Africans invaded and gave then a beating on the Battlefield, at the same time as the US UK supported the Apartheid forces,.....
I knew two people worked with one of them who lived in what was Rhodesia, one was a idiot from my old neighbourhood who made his way to Rhodesia and joined the RLI he almost had his legs blown off for his trouble when his Army truck ran over a landmine, the other one was a very nice bloke but he just couldn't get it through his head he was living in a racist rogue State, he was working for a water Company out there the job came with a house and he told me he had a black maid which infuriated me, when you look at Rhodesia and South Africa to a lesser extent you can compare it with the situation in Israel right now, Colonialism.I lived in Rhodesia during the bush wars. It was odd that the US had closed its embassy in Rhodesia because of the racist attitude there but left the one in Apartheid RSA open. Odder still was that the US forbade its citizens from even visiting Rhodesia. BUT ..... the author of the book "Green Berets" (Robin Moore) was residing in Salisbury. He had what he referred to as the unofficial American embassy in his home, dubbed "Crippled Eagles" where he welcomed American citizens who were living in Rhodesia as volunteers in the Rhodesian armed forces. He OF COURSE turned out to be a CIA agent who reported his countrymen to the American officials.I knew two people worked with one of them who lived in what was Rhodesia, one was a idiot from my old neighbourhood who made his way to Rhodesia and joined the RLI he almost had his legs blown off for his trouble when his Army truck ran over a landmine, the other one was a very nice bloke but he just couldn't get it through his head he was living in a racist rogue State, he was working for a water Company out there the job came with a house and he told me he had a black maid which infuriated me, when you look at Rhodesia and South Africa to a lesser extent you can compare it with the situation in Israel right now, Colonialism.
