Critics of Israel: What WOULD have been the Proper Response by Israel to the Hamas Attacks?

With all due respect, Ringo? It wouldn't take a genius to figure out that the Gaza Strip is NOT going to be a place you want to be as soon as news stories started coming out about the Hamas terrorist attacks that killed over a thousand Israelis! That happened a week ago. Anyone with any common sense should have known that the response to that attack was going to be epic.

The entire territory of today's USA is based on occupying/seizing territory that formerly belonged and was settled by others.
The same applies to Russia and any other country on this planet - including even Switzerland.

Just as e.g. the USA will highly unlikely allow/grant for an independent Hawaii or e.g. Guam, Samoa etc. - the same applies to e.g. Israel having conquered occupied e.g. the Golan Heights.
The Sinai was returned to Egypt due to a peace deal. The Kingdom of Jordan retracted it's territorial claim onto the West-Bank in 1988.

Israels problem and issue is that they simply do not want to return land to Palestinian-Arabs, that had been assigned to them by the British and the UN. Since they have conquered and occupied it since 1948. Therefore IMO Israel also doesn't need to complain about Palestinian-Arab violence directed at them.

That the killing of civilians - committed by both sides is a despicable action - is also understood.

To state they conquered it is a partial Lie. Yes, they won it on the battlefield, but it is a Lie as that battle was FORCED on them by arab nations of that time.

The palestinians refused the UN offer of Statehood. Israel accepted.

The arab nations said dont sign. We will drive Israel into the ocean and you will have it ALL.

They lost.

Arafat was offered a State as well. Again, they refused.

They will only accept Israels destruction and all land. For over 7 decades this is the truth.

What makes Israel look bad is that they bomb the Palestinians to start with. They were bombing them before the attack on 10/7.

So here's how that's going to play out.

The Zionists will bomb Gaza and kill a lot more Palestinian kids than Israeli kids were killed on 10/7.
The world that is all flying Zionist Flags will suddenly be shocked and horrified.
There will probably be a ground assault, which will get bogged down when Hamas uses IED's and other tactics to kill Zionist soldiers.
Then the Zionists will pull back, and Palestinians will hate them even more.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
