Cracker Barrel Loses $100 Million in Value

Cracker barrel loses $100 Million after rebranding new logo.

When will companies realize drastic changes cause lost customers. I understand there may be a need to update, but drastic changes turn away customers/investors.

Companies need to make slow incremental changes to not turn away their core customers trying to chase new ones.

They should try not sucking. THAT may help, but I doubt it.

Most folks that invest in such places do so because they (for good or bad) like to frequent those places. Change them up and they will sell and move on to something else they like such as Walmart or the like.

They went from a semi-unique experience with authentic old stuff all over (each location was a bit different in that regard), to a cliché TJ Maxx interior design.

The one I used to go to I had donated an old Iceman sign that folks would hang in their window so the Iceman knew how much ice to deliver....It was still there years later.

They sucked so bad they though changing would help.

But it think old company names and old logos give people a sense of the familiar, and they don't like to see them change.
It's why they were changed that people were objecting to.

I didn't get upset......just another instance of the wacko left causing me to SMFH.

I loved that kindly old black gentlemans rice.

Except no one showed me that the logo change was "Woke" in any way.

And if you are so insecure that you live in mortal terror a gay couple might be eating next to you, that's your hangup.

ESG dude.

There, now you know.

What if a gay guy does my hair or I chat with a couple gay aquaintences over a beer and a burger on occasion?

The mortal terror in my has been excruciating.

They went bigly "woke," so bye, bye Bubba!

mudwhistle owned you with this post

But it went right over your head

“They removed the old Cracker from the logo.

The new logo isn't woke. It's the action of removal that is woke.”

Nope. I think this is a bunch of rightwingers looking to stay outraged over stuff... because they might start noticing America isn't Great again and the economy is swirling the shitter.

Removing a figure from a logo that most people had no idea why he was there to start with isn't woke.

Millions of former Cracker Barrel customers and Wall Street investors disagree with you
