Court upholds a persons right to legally resist an illegal arrest.

IMO, the video shows a rookie pulling the guy over without real evidence. He had no radar data and said he just 'saw' Mr. Patriot using a cell phone. The back up cop knew better and let him go after he saw he had no basis to stop the guy. Calling that resisting arrest is a real stretch.

Calling it valid police work is even more of a stretch. It's a great example of what people are tired of. He said he was going 10% over the speed limit but the cop didn't even know what the speed limit was.

He needs retrained bad.

If he was violating the protective order. He was not. I know my breath is wasted on you but whatever.

It's not up to police officers to make that determination when they have a warrant. If they have a warrant to arrest them, then it's on the judge that issued the warrant. The officers are simply doing what they are instructed to do.

Violating our civil rights. Who did the court side with?

They sided with the landlord against the police. That doesn't make it right though, especially if it's a commie judge. But every time one of these decisions come up, you weaken our police forces and strengthen the criminal element. This is the way it's been going for nearly 10 years and the results of it are obvious and documented.

The officer asked for the warrant. The judge has no way to determine from the bench what is happening in the field. The officers were and as the judge noted, they had zero evidence the order was violated.

No criminal was strengthened here. The only crime was committed by the police.

The OP didn't say it was theses particular officers that asked for the warrant, it said some deputies asked for it. It's up to the judge to determine if the warrant is justified, not the officers. This should be all on the judge, not the police who were ordered to arrest him.

Yes, every time a court or city moves against our police, you do empower the criminal.

Good old dishonest Ray.

The officers had argued that they should be held harmless; they noted that it was a magistrate who actually issued the arrest warrant, albeit at the request of one of the deputies.

Okay, I had that one wrong. It doesn't change the fact it's up to the judge to determine if the warrant is justified.

People on the left feel there should be no authority over them. They can do whatever the F they want and nobody can say a word.

All across the country cities are having a hard time filling police positions. It's responsible for violent crime increasing in all major cities; that and leftist DA's that give crimimals a slap on the hand or nothing at all.

It was not too long ago getting a job as a police officer was nearly impossible. For one or two job positions hundreds of people would apply. A lot of people wanted to be a cop. Today some cities get less than a dozen applications for a police job, and most if not all of them won't be able to pass one of the exams. That's exactly what's happening in my suburb.
The goal has always been for them to make a cop's job impossible.
Then they quit or retire and they can replace good cops with green haired face tattoo wearing assholes.

Typical liberal thinking too. Chase out the best cops cities can find and replace them with whoever is willing to do the job, and a liberal thinks that's an improvement.

No hard nosed cops left....just fat girls who shit themselves the moment they have to deal with a criminal and mistake their gun for a taser.
