Britain is out of step on the issue with several European countries, including Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Austria, where all physical punishment of children is illegal.

I'd bet money the major reason for the pussification of those countries is 'none of their kids grew up getting whooped'. I'd bet all the money I have, 'not' spanking their kids has led to the lack of backbone they have shown, as well as other of ther lefft/liberal-leaning laws.
