Conservatives, the fight is not over!

They'll do it at their own peril.

Yes, because after the shellacking that Trump takes in November, you are going to totally show those guys by voting them out of office and making it easier for Democrats to win.

You now, kind of like how you beat Dick Lugar and replaced him with "Gift from God Rape" guy. Whatever his name was, but we all remember the stupid "Gift from God" rape comments.

I'm sorry you're not smart enough to realize the political paradigm is changing, the rise of Sanders and Trump proves that, business as usual ain't gonna cut it anymore.

Sanders voters aren't going to back Trump.

I have not talked to ONE PERSON who has said "I voted for Obama in 2012, but I'm voting for Trump this year."

Not. One. Person.

On the other hand, I've talked to a lot of people who voted for Romney in 2012, who will not vote for Trump because he is openly racist and misogynistic, as opposed to Romney who was only subtly racist and misogynistic.

She'll still have to get them confirmed, so I guess we'll see what happens.

I doubt that will be an issue. First, the democrats are probably going to retake the Senate this year.

Secondly, grandstanding aside, once the election is over, they'll stop grandstanding.

Once Hillary beats Trump, you are going to see most of the Senate going back to "business as usual".
I heard the same a few weeks ago, if Trump is at the top of the ticket, then people will split their votes and put the Dems in charge of the senate

Seems a bit too early to tell. And like I told a certain nimrod who's also commenting in this thread, just knowing other people who feel a certain way isn't really proof.

Not saying I wouldn't like to agree with you, but....

Really?

POLL: 45% of Bernie voters say they're #NeverHillary, 15% will...

15% of Bernie supporters voting for Trump, that's a butt load of people.

  • Sheldon Adelson Says He Will Support Donald Trump
NY Times ^ | 5/5/2016 | Thomas Kaplan and Maggie Haberman
The casino magnate Sheldon G. Adelson said on Thursday night that he would support Donald J. Trump now that he has become the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee. “Yes, I’m a Republican, he’s a Republican,” Mr. Adelson said in a brief interview. “He’s our nominee. Whoever the nominee would turn out to be, any one of the 17 — he was one of the 17. He won fair and square.”
Yerah, even Lindsey Grahmcracker is supporting Trump now.

But not these 'real' conservatives, roflmao.

Boss, welcome to complete irrelevance, dude.

Erik, you and I have been on this board since I think 2011. so we know all the folks from 2012 here who supported Obama. Do you know one of them that has said, "I'm voting for Trump"?

NOw, it might be that Trump's celebrity might propel him over the top in November, and frankly, if Americans have such little regard for their democracy, maybe that's what we deserve.

A plausible alternative, as in "How do we get someone else to nominate Justices", or a plausible alternative, as in "Who I'm voting for instead"?

It's a simple proposition, only one of two possible people will have the opportunity to nominate anyone, voting for a non-viable third party, for me is not an option, the court is too important.

So you're not going to answer my question, and you were just looking for a chance to pontificate on your OWN point of view, rather than actually having any interest in what I thought. Got it. Glad I took the time to clarify before bothering to compose an answer.

I thought I answered both questions quite nicely. There is no one else, with any chance of winning, to nominate justices except the major party candidates, and I simply said voting for a nonviable third party wouldn't be an option for me, what you do with your vote is your business, if you chose to make it mine, that's up to you.

Um, I didn't have two questions. I had one question: which one are you asking me?

Ok, I'll bite, "How do we get someone else to nominate Justices"?

We can't, and before you get your panties all in a wad, I never said we could. I said I don't want either of them nominating Justices, so "But the Court!" is simply not a deciding factor for me. The lunatic fringe decided their little tantrum was more important than anything else, including the Supreme Court, and now we're stuck with it being a write-off either way, and having our freedoms and the fabric of our nation shredded even more for years to come. Oh, but they got to "win!"

Yeah, right. The only thing not "business as usual" about Trump is that no one's ever going to have a clue what policy is from one day to the next, depending on whether he's in a good mood that morning. Other than that, the backroom deals and elitist schmoozing are not only going to continue, they're going to reach new heights.

Yup, that conveys your lunacy quite neatly.

I think it conveys Trumps ego and self-image!

I like it because it reminds me of an MMORPG where people can carry around 5 machine guns while letting an eagle rest on their shoulder and that kind of nonsense.

But it expresses one thing quite well; Trump stands for 'America First!' and I love it.

Since Cruz and all the other leaders also represent part of America and public interests,
Trump cannot be against his fellow American leaders and be for America.

America is all of us combined, in all our diversity.
so as long as some Americans feels represented by Sanders, Clinton,
Carson, Cruz, then Trump would have to write his business plans to
create jobs for all Americans and not leave anyone out.

He has the resources and the guts to do that.
He could buy us all out by creating jobs for all of us restoring
America and making things great again!

I am sure that that is Trumps full intention, to get all of us jobs that want one.
