This is absolutely destructive for the Republican Party. Latinos in general tend to be more family oriented, religious, and culturally conservative people. They should be a natural fit for the GOP. Trump capitalized on that and then threw it all away. It could be years before the GOP can win back their trust, assuming they ever do.
