From one in the middle I feel that the democrats have moved so far left that they have left common sense behind. Things that they used to be stridently for they are now against. Take for instance the senate filibuster. Schumer and Biden both gave very long an impassioned speeches about saving it. Now suddenly they are for dismantling it. Why? Because they feel threatened by it, dead because of it. Not because they feel it will help the country but because it will advance their agenda.
The right on the other hand has some good ideas but seldom if ever find enough backing among their people to put anything into practice. Some want to go with the flow not rock the boat. Others want to float a little more to the left and others yet want to go more right. So you end in a deadlock of no one going anywhere.
We need to stop spending on the government credit card or no matter what we are done.
Taxing everyone until they have nothing left is not an answer. Because all it does is create hard feelings desperation and poverty. None of which is good for the country.
A lot of times it seems as if common sense has flown out the window never to return.

For more than a generation now, millions of Leftists have been going to college and law school, planning to get into millions of government sinecures, where they can run things according to their own skewed judgment. This is true in every state, large city, and especially the Federal Government. They are the specialists, administrators, coordinators, inspectors, agents, and so on. They are now in effective control of the EPA, the IRS, the FBI, the CIA, Treasury, DoJ, INA, and on and on. The President and other elected officials can issue orders, commands, instructions, and whatever else they want, but the Deep State will refuse, thwart, "slo-walk," ignore, and do whatever the **** they want to do...and none of them can ever be fired.

To illustrate with a contemporary example, look at how SENATOR Ted Cruz demanded that the FBI explain their failure to even interview that Epps character who was on numerous videos fomenting the January 6th crowds...and they told him to go **** himself! A generation ago, the FBI would have jumped on that request immediately with no bullshit.

It appears that the U.S. electorate will come briefly to its senses this November and put Republicans in control of Congress, but that will be just a speed bump on the road to perdition.

Yes. In my heart I KNOW how this will turn out. We are a sick and dying nation. It will get bad.

But I still try to HOPE, but no, this nation will not repent -- and it will die.

God wants us to put out hope in His Son's return, and not in a political savior. Still I hope if we fight, and choose better leaders, it will buy us some time and we can put off what's to come until I leave this world
