FROM THE ARTICLE:
In the midst of the worst recession since the Great Depression, we have the GOP coming out against extending unemployment benefits. Before Christmas.
Members of the GOP proclaim that they'll vote against raising the debt ceiling, which would effectively bankrupt the United States of America.
New Speaker of the House John Boehner has moved to shut down the Congressional Ethics Office.
Grover Norquist, influential head of the conservative Americans for Tax Reform, has suggested that shutting down the government would be good for the GOP.
Republicans are holding off tax breaks for all Americans so that the wealthiest 2% of Americans can get their taxes lowered for income over $250,000. And add $700 billion to the budget deficit which Republicans say they want to eliminate.
Roger Ailes, head of the "fair and balanced" Fox News has called the President of the United States a far left "socialist," described NPR executives as "of course Nazis," and declared that Jon Stewart was "crazy."

The real problem here is the "liberal" news networks refuse to expose the Republicans on their positions. Listed above is a partial list of those positions. Not even right wingers on the USMB would dare to deny it. In fact, most are proud of those positions.
Network news has become a series of "fluff" feelgood stories, leaving networks such as "Fox" reporting that the president is spending 200 million dollars A DAY on a single trip. And the Fox base believes that nonsense. Why? Because they have been conditioned to believe honest reporting from days gone by.
Only a total moron could possibly believe the president could spend 200 million dollars a day on a "trip". Oh, sorry Republicans. I didn't mean to call you.....Well, if the shoe fits......
Thanks for doing the work of quoting the article, I may disagree with you but at least you took a bit of time to do something anyone who starts a thread should be required to do, quote what is relevant or makes the point they wish.
Too many people here simply link to an article, pretty lazy, sorry if this is critical of anyone who has supported my threads or posts, but fact is, I am not going to take the time to follow a link unless a portion of the article is quoted and commented on. If I feel this way others do as well.
I know the president did spend over 200 million on the trip per day, one must remember our military is pretty expensive.
