Since I have lived in Alabama, I have allowed people with no place to stay, live in my guest cottage. Some have paid a nominal rent when able and some have cut the grass in return for a place to stay.
My current project spends about 1 hour per day, 6 days a week, getting the bar open for business. For this, he is well fed in addition to having a place to stay.
