Congressional panel investigating the origins of Covid finds that the virus originated in a lab .

Big Pharma WAS held accountable for the Opioid epidemic, so that's probably not a great example for you.

Those people are locked up, so again, not a good example for you.

Hardly. But the two really aren't related at all.

China doesn't run prisons for profit like we do. No other country does. We lock up 1 million people.

If guns and prisons made us safer, we'd have the lowest crime rates in the industrialized world, not the highest.

The American People said nothing of the sort. They said, "We dislike Trump just slightly less than we dislike Harris".

Buyer's Remorse is already setting in.
once again you are absolutely right ! just look at all the blue on the map !:auiqs.jpg:

Guy, I posted dozens of scientific papers showing it was a zoonotic transfer from a wet market.

You have a whacky conspiracy theory with no facts, but you love it because you think it exonerates Trump for his mismanagement of the crisis. (It doesn't. No matter where it came from, he still fucked it all up.)

The problem with conspiracy theories is no matter how many times you prove it was a weather balloon, there will still be people who will insist that it was a flying saucer.
and we can post just as many scientific reports stating it was a gain of function virus originating from a lab ! you sure are vehement in your defense of the CCP! just how much do you have invested in companies profiting from chicom slave labor ?

Actually, common sense dictates it was an animal source. That's where these viruses come from.

Now, if it was a lab leak, why was the first outbreak near the wet market (where all the animals were) instead of the lab (where the supposed viruses were being kept?)

It would strike me that if it was a lab leak, then the workers and neighbors of the lab would be the people first affected.
neighbors ?? do you mean people living in Wuhan ?

Wow, so let me get this straight.

China leaked a virus onto their own people, in order for Big Pharma in the US to get rich off a vaccine they didn't know how to make at the time?

What universe does that make sense in?
why did China restrict domestic travel to and from Wuhan but allowed international flights to and from Wuhan in the early days of the pandemic ?

I keep telling you -- the mental health professionals who saw him failed in their duty. You refuse to hold them responsible.

The background system worked as designed. If the people who saw him for his mental issues had reported their concerns, the background check would have denied him.

More laws is not the answer.

So, you want non-government corporations to have access to criminal and mental health records.

Does that really sound like a good idea to you? Because that's stupid as hell.

It wouldn't need to go that far.

"Is James Holmes a Patient of yours?"
"Yes!"
"Would you consider him a good candidate to own a military-grade semi-automatic weapon and a 100 round magazine?"
"Oh, hell no!"

See, no need to look at health records.

As far as criminal records are concerned, private corporations can do that every time they do a background check for employment. They also make you piss in a cup, talk to a few of your coworkers and former bosses, and run a credit background check.

as for your big pharma comparison .. there's no evidence that guns are addictive and cause painful withdrawal symptoms if you don't go to the shooting range every day ..

I wouldn't know, looking at some of you guys wank off about your guns, you'd think you were addicted.

do you own a fire arm ?
No. I was in the Army for 11 years (about half of that reserve component), but I never owned a civilian gun. I considered buying one, but my wife doesn't want one in the house.

why did China restrict domestic travel to and from Wuhan but allowed international flights to and from Wuhan in the early days of the pandemic ?

Why not? Most of the people getting on those international flights were non-Chinese citizens, it wasn't like they had a legal grounds to hold them.

This is why Trump's travel ban was such an epic fail. He restricted non-infected Chinese from entering the country, but he waived American citizens right on in with no quarantine.

First, those numbers are out of date. The current numbers are 77 million to 75 million, or less than 1.58 margin.

Second, not sure why you guys think a map of mostly rural counties means anything other than generations of inbreeding makes rural people stupid.

And that doctor just violated HIPAA. And how would they know which doctor to call?

But I like how you threw in "military grade" to make it sound scarier.

You're really not very good at this. Maybe you should just stop.

When you apply for a job, you have to give the company written permission to conduct background checks.

Dude, seriously, just stop.

comrade iosef: rural people are all stupid inbred hicks

comrade iosef: i just cant understand why rural people dont vote democrat

I'm sure you can find a work-around that doesn't violate HIPAA. I am amused that you are suddenly all for laws that protect your fetish, and not ones that protect a woman's right to choose, or due process for immigrants.

yup. We should do that when they sell a gun.

in my state you have to get a back ground check before you buy a gun ..

Here is the best part of the summary:

PROXIMAL ORIGIN PUBLICATION: “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2” publication — which was used repeatedly by public health officials and the media to discredit the lab leak theory — was prompted by Dr. Fauci to push the preferred narrative that COVID-19 originated in nature.

As I have stated previously using the analogy of a zoo. If anyone were to visit a zoo, and a zookeeper left the gate open to the chimp housing, and the chimps escaped and went on a rampage, killing and harming people, the civil and criminal suits would close the zoo down, and rightfully so as the zoo is culpable for damages.

THe last 4 years has been a distraction, primarily at the hands of Fauci, politicians and the MSM to distract the entire world from focusing on the one question "what is the true origin"? With that answer, we have then have culpability, but not at a regional level, a global level. And who were all the parties involved in this financing of Gain of Research?

So what is next, civil payouts on the global level? When is the first law suit hitting Fauci, the Lab, or those in charge?

If that is "straight", you live in a strange world.

The virus that nobody has managed to isolate was released. I don't believe much of anything the government says, so I don't know by whom it was released, but I have my suspicions.

Is it plausible that a country like "China" that has implored population control had something to do with the Covid release? Sure is plausible.

By all means it's plausible, and no doubt they were players in the plandemic. We citizens can only speculate about exact details, who did what to whom.
