Congress should be fired!

The Senate may well be 51 or 52 GOP in 2025, which the Party needs, considering the House will be blue by 15 or 20, and the GoP President will be a convicted felon.
How do you figure that the House will be democrat again? It will be close either way with 25 toss-up seats. The GOP should have a +4 advantage, not much, so we'll see how it goes in November.

Hey, they also wanna give him absolute immunity. He could literally do anything!

He can't add 2 and 2, so your hyperbolic claim is laughable.

His handlers could do anything, which of course is scary.

Now, let's say Trump is in there and we do this.

WHAT THEN ?

So, you admit that the GOP will win the WH in Nov. And that they will take the Senate in Nov....I say the GOP increases the house majority as well...But, anyway, it's progress....Glad to see you are slowly waking up...

Of course they are hired....they are hired by the people, and paid by the people...and can be fired by the people.
Get a refund on that lobotomy. :auiqs.jpg:

fact: Politicians get elected, not hired.

"Notwithstanding the above statutes, elected officials are specifically excluded from the definition of employee in many instances. For example, the federal ADEA definition of "employee" specifically excludes elected officials. (29 USC § 630(f).) Elected officials are also not considered employees under the Brown Act."

Somehow, this post reminded me of "W".
This should not be taken in any manner of excusing the current POTUS of the least thing.

Employees get fired.

They are not employees.
Yes they are, they work for the people. Stupid putz. And everyone of them that voted not to investigate the 2020 election should be out and banned from ever running again.

Haha yes they excluded themselves from many laws about federal employees

But if you don’t consider your elected officials employees hired to do a job for you…well…that explains your demafacist beliefs

Most freedom loving americans expect their elected officials to do a job for them, and when they fail to deliver fire then or at least attempt to at their review at the ballot box

Haha of course it’s firing.
If an elected Congressman or Senator commits a serious crime or has earned the hatred of his or her state's people, they can only remove the offending Congressman or Senator from his office with impeachment that costs a King's ransom and can take over a year, and those in the governing body who lead impeachment procedures are frequently never elected to high office again. After all, a majority of voters put that Congressman or Senator in office, who also has a respected family background. I've never seen nor heard of an impeachment that went really really well due to its politically divisive nature.

Let’s delve into the intricacies of impeachment for federal officials, including members of Congress:

  1. Impeachment Eligibility:
  2. Historical Practice:
    • While the Constitution explicitly identifies the President and Vice President as impeachable officials, the scope of who qualifies as a civil officer beyond these positions is not precisely delineated.
    • Federal judges have consistently been considered officers subject to impeachment and removal, as most proceedings have applied to those positions.
    • Congress has also impeached the head of a cabinet-level Executive department, indicating a congressional understanding that high-level Executive officers may be subject to impeachment.
    • However, it remains unclear how far down the ranks of the federal bureaucracy this principle extends 1.
  3. Former Officials and Impeachment:
  4. Expulsion vs. Impeachment:
In summary, while impeachment is more commonly associated with the Executive Branch, the Constitution allows for the impeachment of various federal officials, including members of Congress, under specific circumstances 14. However, in practice, impeachment of senators and representatives is rare and ambiguous 5. 🇺🇸

No they can’t impeach them. The people can vote them out of office.

Impeachment is a process legislatures use to remove judges or executive branch officials.

Congress or state legislatures can expel members, but for the people, they can fire them at the ballot box via elections
