Say what? Of course they're marketable. Myriad companies have been marketing them for quite some time now. Indeed, there is very little that isn't marketable.

Perhaps you mean that if electric cars cannot be profitably sold without would-be buyers receiving a tax credit to offset the cost they incur to buy them, then electric cars (more specifically, the factors of production that bring them to market) are not adequately evolved to make them profitable to sell at prices "the masses" are willing to pay?
