The 56-year-old man, who has a permit to carry a concealed gun in Illinois, won't face charges for firing two shots outside an AT&T store in Crestwood, according to the Cook County state's attorney's office. A police officer pursuing the suspect had to duck for cover, not knowing where the shots were coming from, Crestwood police said. No one was injured.

You have the right to stop a felony if you can. I suppose you would prefer somebody play with their dick while some employee gets murdered in cold blood. But not everyone is like you.

Nobody was going to get murdered. The criminal was already fleeing when shot at. Bet he counts shooting at fleeing criminal as a DGU.

Lets see, ONE example of possible mistake, compared to over a million examples of stopping crime, which should we be more accepting of?

I've never seen over a million examples. Only hear of a few a year.

That's an assumption on your part.

"According to a statement issued by Crestwood police, the permit holder was about to enter the store at 4756 W. Cal-Sag Road around noon when he noticed that it was being robbed, the man told police."

He was shooting after a fleeing criminal. Clearly not defending himself. He even hindered the police.

No he didn't do anything good unless you think helping the criminal escape is good.
