COMP HELP, music wont stop playing

all of a sudden starting tonight i am getting non stop christmas music on my speakers.
how do i make this nonsense stop? i found a place to cut off the volume but then i cant hear anything, videos or nothing. i dont know where this music is coming from but please tell me how to stop it while still getting normal sounds and audio. thanks

You have a virus.

You need to run some malware removal and try to find it and remove it.

Close out all browsers. Music might be coming from a site you're still on but don't know you're on.

Oh, there is an alternative:

You could restore your PC with 'system resore'.

Click your start/help/ and select system resore and it will walk you through the steps.

i shut the comp down and started it back up and the music is gone.

This happened to me on December 26th of last year. The songs included "There went Santa Claus",
"I was home for Christmas", and "I dreamt of a white Christmas".
Drove me batty.

Once this happened to me. I was using my computer and I was hearing non-stop Christmas music.

I closed my browser and I could still hear the music.

I closed word and I could still hear the music.

I closed outlook and I could still hear the music.

I muted the speakers and I could STILL hear the music.

I could still hear the music after I turned off my computer.

The Christmas music finally stopped only after I had left Starbucks.

What OS? If it's Windoze ... meh ... can't help much, so many possibilities I'd need to see what you have in your services. If it's Linux ... I could help with just a little more info.

Does this happen each time you open your internet browser? Did you scan your computer in safe mode?

there are a couple of trojan's (backdoors) that can cause this. Some are really nasty too. It could be a new one and your virus program isn't picking it up or the trojan is blocking any anti spyware or virus program to recognize it.

There are some websites that will play music or speaks it is a small popup that you probably won't even realize is up until you exit that site or close your browser.

I would suggest you do a complete scan in safe mode. If your computer is acting different in other areas, slow, shutting down then restarting, stuff like that it could be a virus. I suspect it is either a trojan or just a website with a hidden popup.
