I made a fair amount of money, especially on energy stocks, under our President Bush and Vice President Cheney. I wish they would continue serving, but the Socialist Dems put in term limits. I have made money even on the banks after our President approved the financial security package for them, since their stocks rallied, especially AIG. Yes, I have accumulated a fair amount of wealth during the past 8 years. Now the Messiah wants to take it away from me to give to the losers and bums. That's Communism pure and simple. If you're starting out in the workforce.. good for you... I started out making much less... but you are indeed working at a job of your choice... and you in no way are owed any benefits or entitlements at the expense of others, because you are quite capable of doing whatever it takes to earn those things for yourself to take care of your personal responsibilities...

Diamond Dave...i am 34 years old and have been working since i was 18...I have paid my dues working fast food work most of my life, I am in line to get a better factory job here in a week or so, i spent 2 years in college trying to better myself but had to stop going cause I just couldnt afford the outrageous tuition, I was not born elite with a silver spoon in my mouth so 5 grand a semester at one of the cheaper schools was well out of my reach. My father raised me never to ask for handouts and to earn what you receive.

So dont you friggin dare lecture me on taking care of myself or my responsabilities! my wife works for Best Western as a house keeper and busts her ass day in and day out, she is one of the hardest workers they have...how much does she make for her hard earned work? 7 bucks an hour(minimum wage here in Ohio) and she has no health benefits and gets no real wage increases except yearly when the state minimum wage goes up! Best Western is a world wide chain that makes millions and can afford to pay employees better and give benefits but dont...why? corporate greed thats why.....something thats been flourishing the last 8 years under Bush!

Get a grip. I do make over 250k, and I'll be the first to tell you that I could afford to pay more taxes much easier than someone making 30k

250,000.00 minus 30% = 175,000.00

30,000 minus 30% = 21,000.00

I can afford to pay a babysitter more than I do.. .I can afford to pay some kid $200 to mow my lawn... but since that is not the going rate for such jobs, I do not do so...

If you or your wife don't like the compensation and benefits, you have the freedom to advance and the freedom to seek other employment that does give you what you wish to have... but the key is you have to use your freedom to obtain the necessary skills to secure those jobs... you have to do what it takes to put yourself in demand

Just because you don't, does not mean that anyone on this earth or in this country owes you a goddamn thing that you do not provide for yourself... since you and your wife appear to be fully able minded and able bodied people who have the capability of taking care of yourselves

This is my whole point: This administration has served YOU. It's all about you. You're wealth. What you reaped from the system. But, this country is not about you. It's about everyone. It's about the state of affairs in the world. I have one quote for you:

They practice Corporatism, and support companies that put small business owners and middle-class Americans out of business. They open up shop in newly created free-markets and hire in these countries because the American worker is too expensive. Why can't you see through "guns and religion" and realize that the goal of the party is solely to create free markets, mostly in other countries. Of course, financial success, and the inclusion of our animalistic/competitive nature must be allowed to express itself in a free way, hence, capitalism, which is fine, but left to our own devices, we would turn into cavemen again, killing eachother for food and women. The only thing that is stopping us is our constitution, which basically saves us from ourselves by not allowing greed and power to corrupt our entire system. Of course, these forces can't be stopped, but relative to other countries, our rights our kept intact despite the individual drives of some who are as corrupt as any. People are so basically evil, and if left to it, would rob everybody, and screw over anybody to get a buck. This is embodied in the Republican ideal. Let everybody fight for themselves, and that will make us strong. Well, in a fair system, that might work. Survival of the fittest. But, we are human. Not everyone is created equal, and there has to be some fostering of that reality, not a denial of it. I don't know what the hell I'm talking about anymore.

A chance to cancel out the 'haves' and 'have nots' so it is fair for everybody, and all are created equal. It's not a bad idea, it just doesn't work in practice because humans are basically flawed, and it never would work. The idea though, is still valuable, and you can't deny that. There is great inequality in our country, across racial, gender, and religious lines. There's needs to be some compassion for our differences as opposed to opting for a uniform majority to represent us all, as the republicans wish. I am NOT a socialist, I am just playing the devil's advocate, and highlighting that in theory, it is not bad, at least certain parts of it. Further, I'd like to point out that in no way is Barack's policies 'socialist.' Taxing the super rich a little more, because they were born into a system that works for them? Taking the burden off the majority of the country, who are the backbone of our economy? Yeah. that's socialism...right. I call that smart.

When you stand for leading in a socialist manner.. it is NOT about the people.. it is what politics is always about... power... the ruling elite grasping the power to take control of assets, services, etc to redistribute and keep the masses under control....

Obama is in favor of raising taxes for people who make 250,000 or more per year right? He is in favor of not raising taxes for the middle class right? That sounds all good, but let's think about it. Michael Dell, Bill Gates, The Walton Family, Bob Ingle, The Kroc family, and more, all of which earn way more than that do what? They own buisinesses supported by much of the middle class. So, when the taxes go up on them, what will they do? They'll be kind and pass that on to the consumer. That is just business. We think we are getting a break but our bread, milk, gas, beef, pork, chicken, toilet paper, napkins, paper towels, etc, all go up on the shelves and thus our taxes don't go up but our cost of living sure does. Think about it Americans. Be logical now. Set all political persuasions aside and think about economics.
