Florida officials defy DeSantis as infections spike
Local officials across Florida are bucking Gov. Ron DeSantis and his anti-mandate coronavirus strategy as infections soar in the state and nation. They’re imposing vaccine and mask requirements for government workers and even declaring states of emergency. In a sign of how worrisome the new Covid-19 surge is, Disney World is ordering all guests over 2-years-old to wear masks indoors at its Florida theme park, regardless of vaccination status.
Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has said
that the COVID-19 “vaccines are saving lives.”

“If you are vaccinated, fully vaccinated, the chances of you getting seriously ill or dying from COVID is effectively zero,” DeSantis said during a Wednesday press briefing.
“If you look at the people being admitted to hospitals, over 95 percent of them are either not fully vaccinated or not vaccinated. And so these vaccines are saving lives.”
The ideological dogmatists who fell in line behind the vacuous blowhards are witnessing the same belated renaissance in the fact of anthropogenic climate change.

I think it all started with the Left constantly blasting Trump for his handling of the virus.
They constantly did it. CNN had a permanent COVID death count tracker on both their home page and every broadcast, just like all the other MSM. They all promptly removed it once Biden was installed.

As of January 20th, 2021, there were 384,359 deaths in the US under Trump. He only had two vaccines for about a month.
As of July 29th, 2021, there are now 578,767 US deaths. That means there have been 194,408 deaths under Biden in six months. Biden Admin has three vaccines, developed with the help of the Trump Admin's Operation Warp Speed.

The Left blamed Trump, when really Fauci, the CDC, and WHO were more at fault.
They blasted Trump for instituting a travel ban from China less than two weeks after the first confirmed US case. Fauci later took credit for it.
They blasted Trump for really trying very hard to manage all facets of the virus and try all sorts of things, from delivering hospital ships and providing tens of thousands of unneeded ventilators, to asking health professionals to investigate disinfectants, UV light treatments, and curative treatments like Hydroxychloroquine, Remdesivir, and Ivermectin.
The Left wanted lockdowns, school closings, masks, mandatory vaccines and everyone to "obey," even when countless tyrannical Leftists were found hypocritically violating their own orders.
The Right wanted recommendations and the freedom for everyone to make their own decisions.
