It's called GLOBAL warming, eh? Not U.S. warming.
If "we" shut down all our coal mines and close down our coal-powered electric stations...but the world continues expanding the use of coal (which no one can blame them for)...what good is our pain? How does that impact our campaign to save the planet?
Makes it pretty pointless, doesn't it?
You do realize your link refers to worldwide coal mining…..NOT the US?
I had heard that. LOLLuckily, non-US coal doesn't cause global warming.
We should lead by example not follow the lowest common denominator
We should use all our available resources including all our fossil fuel resources rather than worship the false god of climate change.
Why? We have enough to last for decades. We need to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels
It is killing usWhy? We have enough to last for decades.
It is killing us
Famine, Flood, FireHow?
Famine, Flood, Fire
No it isn''t. A few degrees of temperature rising and a few feet of sea levels rising isn't going to kill us.It is killing us
Oh yeah, like we never had those prior to the industrial age.Famine, Flood, Fire
No it isn''t. A few degrees of temperature rising and a few feet of sea levels rising isn't going to kill us.
There is this remarkable thing call "irrigation" if heat levels cause crops to dry out and not grow.
If sea levels rise there is this remarkable thing called "dikes"
If our fossil fuels run out in just decades, none of this will matter ... Western Europe and Anglo America don't look so good without refrigeration ...
However ... we won't be running out of fossil fuels ... we'll be running out of cheap fossil fuels, and have to start burning the not-so-cheap fossil fuels ... gasoline is about double the price from 50 years ago compared to everything else ... no reason it can't double again ... you'll pay it, or drive an EV ... it's NOT to soon to start engineering our new generation of nuclear power plants ... ones that are safe, reliable and produce a minimum of waste ... we have the technology, do we have the will? ...
One little nitpick on your wonderful tirade ... warmer means wetter ... crops will grow better ... otherwise you're spot-on correct ...
From what I've read most of the current "Green crowd" in the U.S. is no friend to nuclear power either.
