Appearing in Shot in the Arm, a 2023 documentary about vaccine opposition, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was asked about the deadly measles outbreak that occurred in Samoa in 2019 and claimed the lives of 83 people, mostly children. ​

Kennedy, a leading anti-vaxxer who had visited the Pacific island nation a few months before the outbreak, replied, “I’m aware there was a measles outbreak…I had nothing to do with people not vaccinating in Samoa. I never told anybody not to vaccinate. I didn’t go there with any reason to do with that.”​

CNN host Jake Tapper quipped Thursday on “The Lead” that he hoped America liked measles in reaction to President-elect Donald Trump’s picking Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Tapper said, “Congressman Kinzinger, your expectation is that they’re all gonna get confirmed, or do you think some Republicans might actually stand up?”
Tapper said, “Well, America I hope you like measles.”

Commentary:
The bias goes both ways. The media is acting like RFK Jr. is bad, even though Obama was going to pick him. Republicans are acting like Obama has good judgement.
Don't know about measles, but Americans could sure do with a bit less autism.
RFK Jr isn't going to just arbitrarily start pulling vaccines. He's going to look at the data and determine what is safe and what isn't. If they have nothing to hide, they have nothing to fear. Clearly they are afraid, so I look forward to seeing what RFK Jr uncovers.
