CNN's Hunt Notes 'Massive Failure' by Secret Service—Silences Talk of Possible 'Inside Job'

They were on the near side of that roof behind Trump's rally mockup...

From what I can tell, one tree..at best...might partially come into play.
Google has temporarily removed the street view of that area.

This is the best I can do...but I honestly don't think they were high enough to see him from there.

And, if the shooter was far enough to the West on that roof, he could have been behind those tree to that counter sniper position and still have a clear view of President Trump.

That image is eight months old, from the winter. Those trees are filled out now.

Best image I can muster. Red arrow counter snipers, blue is assassin's roof

Going by the picture of the dead combatant, I think he was on the other side of the roof rather than the side of the roof behind the trees.

Also note the location of the door right below the combatant as well as the corner of the building behind his body.

One of your aerial photos also shows the entrance way to that same door which is right below his body.

Here's what the photos of the body and those of the snipers as well as the photos of the actual infrastructure illustrate..

Personally, I'm not buying the trees were in the way story.

That's because you are right.

The shooter was at the EAST end of the building...according to the NYT...

Here is the achieved link.

I haven't finished reading it yet...but there is also video of the shooter firing from the east end of the building. That means no trees.

The combatant was definitely on the east side.

The photos of the body as well as the infrastructure clearly illustrate it.

There was no tree in the way, in my view.

I agree. No trees...that's bullshit.

BBC has better images with the water tower.

Now they're moving the goalposts, saying that they weren't tasked with the outer perimeter.

They'll likely keep moving them around until something sticks as holes get punched into whatever the debubked narrative of the moment might be.

At the end of the day, the only reason that Trump is alive today is because he turned his head to the side a millisecond prior to the moment the round made contact which subsequently clipped his ear instead.

Had he not turned his head in that very moment, he would have caught a round right through his ear and out the other.

That's the reality of things.

It's the only reason he's alive today.

The combatant who fired the round had, in effect, a red carpet laid for him to land the shot on his intended target.

So the whole hero worship gag will not compute. Though I think that will ultimately be their escape card, attached to the whole ''unity'' pablum, since the combatant is dead, though after the fact of actually shooting the former President and killing and wounding others in attendance. 'Murica and all of that...I guess we all know how that routine goes whenever they need to try to sell a not so good bullshit story.

The ''why'' was the red carpet laid part of the equation that has been tossed out there thus far by officialdom has not, in my view, been sufficient.

Trump barely moved. He was looking to the side, pivoting it slightly. The shot was wide. That's why he wasn't hit more severely.

His head was turned to the right. He turned it slightly to the left. Then back. The shot was wide.

The conservative republican who took the shot either wasn't very good, or intentionally grazed him. Almost certainly the former.

If the FBI sniper was in a position to take out the assassin why did he get several shots off? Why could the spectators see the guy but the Secret Service and the FBI couldn't? With all the technology available to the FBI why can't they get into the guy's cell phone? Maybe they want to erase stuff.
They can get into any cell phone they want to get into.

Nobody is good enough to graze intentionally from that distance.

Even more intriguing is the question...

How did he climb, crawl and get into position carrying a highly visible weapon annnnd being ratted out by numerous people even before he got into that position?

400 ft? Barely 135 yards? With a scope and a long rifle, firing prone on a stationary target?

The fuck they can't. The effective range of an AR-15 is 400 to 600 yards.

Totally insane thought. You actually think that a scratch depth injury can be done on purpose from 400 feet? Not to mention the fact that the kid had to know he was going to die one way or another. So he purposely killed the non target and purposely scratched the real one? Um....no.

"The story so far. A loner who lives more than an hour away with less than a week to review the spot and figure out the security zone to escape detection from law enforcement and the secret service while carrying a rifle through a crowd of thousands finds a hole in said security, climbs up to a roof with a perfect view of the stage and has enough time to take 4 or 5 shots at the head of the former President with bystanders screaming out his location and sniper nests on overwatch...hey anyone want to buy a bridge? Either he was the luckiest person alive, law enforcement, and the secret setvice are the new keystone cops, or......

Take your pick and as always think as you will..."

Again, bullshit. The effective range of an AR is 400 to 600 yards. This was barely 135. Thomas Matthew Crook was apparently an experienced shooter belonging to a local shooting club called Clairton Sportsmen's Club.

And yet an experienced shooter in 6 to 8 shots, from a prone firing position with a scope and a clean line of sight, he can't hit a stationary target from less than 1/4 of the effective range of his weapon?

That......raises questions. Thomas could be a terrible shot. Or the conservative republican and experienced shooter who belonged to the Clairton Sportsmen's Club could have intentionally missed a kill shot on Trump.
