First time in history. Obviously, Trump is the best President in history.
And the Democrat party had to kick their last nominee to the curb for his massive negative popularity numbers, and install someone who never got a single vote for President.
To be honest, Trump is not naive, this is a really bad look for CNN and actually confirms why Trump should ignore polls from media. The temerity of insulting the public with Saddam Hussein like numbers. Unless they only interviewed 5 people they are hurting their own network.
CNN is so pro-war that they did not even have the self consciousness to provide a credible number. If they had shown "88% support from MAGA GOP". Ok, I could say, "yeah, ask100 strong Trump supporters, I could see a world in which only 12 disagree or defect". It would still be curious as CNN loves war, but, it is possible.
100% Is possible of course but
highly improbable. I guarantee you that a guy as astute as Trump is on numbers and polling realizes this and I would not be surprised if when it is raised by reporters he downplays a bit with his usual style "I do not know their methodology but hey I love the number, wow, very nice!"
That would be his tongue in cheek way of being a realist while also not being shy about his belief in his decisions. If he touts it too seriously or loudly it will make him look easy to manipulate.
When CNN is supporting you during times of war it generally means you are going to face an uphill battle in the midterms and even 2028. Vance is the only man it seems who can continue his legacy as he is the man who had true fidelity in Trumps vision and Trump chose him precisely when he did, after nearly being shot; because of this fidelity and I admit Trump was right, I was wrong on my presupposition.
The fact is that this war is not very popular. I am not saying it is not needed if the opportunity arose and I wish nothing but success for USA and Israel, do not conflate my opinion with my honest assessment. If tomorrow the Iranian leadership was replaced democracy and liberty took hold I would be one of loudest people clapping. It has created more liabilities for him going forward though, which may be near impossible to overcome in such a short time.
His delaying of visiting China was a wise decision. The last thing he needs to do is help the CCP out. He should cancel it indefinitely until war succeeds or comes to an end in Iran.
There are a few reliable voices from Israel I listen to. Most are fully supportive of this war, but some are skeptical, even former intel agents and IDF. They know a hell of a lot more about the region than I do. Of course they all agree that the Iranian dictators are a problem but the viability of change in this manner, without a thorough strategy to succeed appears remote.
Trump did far better than JFK and the Bay of Pigs, but, there are great risks to the U.S, his legacy and such.
