CNN doesn't care. Well their ownerships doesn't care. As long as they promote the Far Left Democrat agenda they are fine with the ratings.
Nobody in the history of broadcasting ever made a dime off an ideology. The entire point of a TV channel at all is to hypnotize the viewer into a mush so they can sell them processed food. Because the processed food monger gives them money to do it.
Learn how the world WORKS.
The large corps and monied individuals that own these networks like Comcast (NBC/MSNBC), Time Warner (CNN), Disney (ABC/ESPN) etc don't care about making money from those propaganda outlets. Their corporations make more than enough money. All they care about is for the CNN's of the world to spread the Far Left Globalist agenda. That is the real world.
Absolutely ludicrous. EVERYONE, meaning
EVERY ONE who broadcasts on commercial media does so for one reason, TO MAKE MONEY, PERIOD. There is ***NO*** such thing, anywhere, any time, as running all the expenses of a broadcast, just for jollies. If that were the case -----------------------------------------------
THERE WOULDN'T BE COMMERCIALS.

Good fucking GOD you people are dense.
Well using YOUR argument then CNN should cancel their News programs because ACCORDING to the findings they are NOT creating revenue.
If you ever see a commercial on CNN ------------ that means CNN is creating revenue. Doesn't get much simpler than that. Nobody runs ads for free.
News is not a way to create ATTENTION. News is expensive to do. You have to fly people around, house them, send camera crews, open foreign bureaus. All those Huntley-Brinkley-Cronkheit evening news broadcasts were
loss leaders, subsidized by the Gilligan's Islands and Hawaii Five-Os that followed them. And the only reason the Alphabets even bothered to run those loss leaders was so that their affiliates, come license renewal time, could point to those news broadcasts and say "see? we're doing our public service" ---- which is what they're
supposed to be doing as a condition of we the people granting them that license .... for free, while they rake in advertising revenue.
How'd you like to open a store, and the town gives you your storefront for free? Sweet deal huh.
CNN upset that model by creating a "modern" service where one didn't have to wait for 6pm and thus milked an unmilked audience. Then Fox Noise took it a step further, plopping talking heads in a studio to
talk about the news rather than
report it, converting news into soap opera. Much cheaper to plop talking heads into a garishly colored kindergarten-motif studio with hair-on-fire chyrons running by selling fear. Have the male talking heads pound on the table and have the female ones wear three-inch skirts, and you've got an audience of zombies ready to be sold Vye-yagra.
The CNNs and MSNBCs to their discredit then jumped down the same sewer, which is why we now have
news theater instead of news. In every case, milking emotions through drama stories.
There is no emotion mining in real news. It's dry, it's factual, it doesn't create
investment.
This is not "my argument" btw ----- it's exactly how commercial broadcasting WORKS. Don't ever delude yourself that that TV or radio station is there to inform or entertain. They are there to milk your money, period.
