Clyburn: Trump won’t leave quietly. We might need the military to step in.

A senior administration official said that when Trump is "retweeting threats of putting politicians in jail, and spends his time talking to conspiracy nuts who openly say declaring martial law is no big deal, it’s impossible not to start getting anxious about how this ends."

I can't imagine anyone actually following this order. He has no AG to issue the order to arrest politicians... no court to approve any warrants or subpoenas needed to do so... no real majority in the Senate to get them to do it via Congressional subpoena or warrant...

He could attempt to invoking sedition, but that would have to flow through chain of command at the CIA and the FBI. They would rebuff him by stalling.

He could only really use the military by EO, and the military would not follow this order. Then Congress would then immediately be forced to invoke the 25th Amendment by saying the President is unable to carry out his duties (to protect the country, as the military will no longer take orders from him. National security will be held paramount to Trump's personal benefit). Pence would become President, and he would revoke the EO. Donald would be in Mar-a-Lago by this time, as a million people would have descended on DC immediately in what would become an ugly scene, when Trump supporting crazies try to raise hell and find they are outnumbered 10-to-1.
