NEW YORK - Hillary Rodham Clinton beat back a strong challenge from Barack Obama on Tuesday to win her adopted state, and John McCain defeated Mitt Romney to claim all of New York's Republican delegates.

Although Clinton won New York, Sen. Obama seemed poised to get a big chunk of New York's 232 Democratic delegates.

Sen. Clinton was tested by Obama in heavily black neighborhoods in New York City, liberal upstate areas and on college campuses.

In the GOP primary, Sen. McCain had the backing of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani in his quest for the state's 101 Republican delegates.

Who'd have thunk it? Republicans voting for a RINO.

Gunny, could you do me a favor please. Could you explain exactly what you're looking for in a candidate, what you consider to be a real republican, a real conservative, what you think the next president of the US should do to help fix this country, and then name who exactly fits your description that you would have liked to see run for president?

Republicans don't know what a RINO is... McCain is still far to the right of anyone who would have been a repub candidate just 30 years ago. Maybe if your party actually looked at what Republican values are/were, they'd get better people. And perhaps Repubs might want to look at what this admin has done to their party.

But feel free not to vote for him. I'm looking forward to 1/20/09.

Not if McPain wins with Reverend Huckabee as his Vice...and if McPain kicks the bucket on 1/21/09.....

You're a sick, evil bastard, ain't ya?

Wishing people dead??? Man, no matter how much I hate what Shrub has done to my country, I wouldn't wish him dead. But you and the Annie Coultergeists of the world love doing that, doncha? Disagree with you and a person deserves death???? Sick....

And y'all talk about Bush-haters?!?!?!

Maybe meds would help you. Other than that, maybe a stay with some really nice men in white coats. And, once again, a chickenhawk coward like you not giving McCain the respect he deserves by using his proper name, is pathetic. What have you given to your country lately???

Inquiring minds want to know.

I knew that even the idea of that potential scenario would send you flying into typical liberal hysteria….heehee….there's a silver lining in every cloud...

No hysteria on my part at all. (And any sane poster would see that, you know.) I'm just concerned for the mental health of someone who wishes people dead because of their politics, not to mention the safety of the people with whom you come in contact.

Yet it does not bother you one bit the crazy nut jobs on the far left would and have wished just that on Bush and Cheney. Some of them are even "important" people and have publicaly said they would not mind one bit if those men died.

As for the McPain crap, I agree, he served this country well and spent , what, 7 years in a Prisoner of War camp. I don't want hm as my President but wishing him ill is idiotic. Not using his name is stupid as well.

No hysteria? What do you call that last post of yours then? A calm reply?

And I never said I wished anybody dead. Learn to read.

And I use "McPain" for political purposes. Certainly not any worse than your Bush bashing. I'm not giving him a pass on his politcal stances just because he served. There are plenty of other war heroes in this country who would agree.

Actually, if you'd take your partisan head out of your partisan butt, you'd know that I would think that kind of talk was just as sick.

As for the other stuff, I defended a repub because he is deserving of respect because he earned it.

You are mistaking rational thought with "typical liberal hysteria". With proper medication and perhaps a lobotomy, you too can take part in a rational conversation.

I do think one of the problems you neos are having is you still believe some of the lies and slander that Rove and bush piled on McCain in 2000. It seems Neos would rather slash their wrist than vote for a moderate GOP nominee....Okay, if you must.

AMAZING!

Meanwhile the left is so far left they fell off the end of the scale.

What would really be amazing is if you said anything worthwhile.

Some of us on the right just don't like the idea of our party being infiltrated by leftist idiots who are following the yellow brick road to the fantasy land of Socialism.
