Building in hurricane, flood, and fire prone areas has everything to do with it.

Take Phoenix, build on the surface of the sun and wonder why it gets hot.....All such build-outs are monument to the arrogance of man.

Mother Nature has a way of coming along and reminding folks of that every now and again.

Every homeowners insurer must take these factors into consideration. It may be that some popular areas become non-feasible as home sites. If you can't get homeowners insurance, you can't get a mortgage loan, and you can't buy the house. Simple as that.

Federally back flood insurance is one of the best examples of "welfare for the rich." If it were not for this massive subsidy, people could not build on these precarious water-front sites, and it's only rich people who have the means to do so.

Please tell me why the recent fires in Hawaii are climate change, and the reduced risk from fire because of hurricane rain in California is not climate change.

Here is a map of pre 1900 hurricanes

Climate change my ass

This list of Florida hurricanes prior to 1900 extends back to 1523 and encompasses 180 North Atlantic hurricanes and tropical storms known to have affected Florida. Since the start of the Atlantic hurricane database in 1851, there were only eight years in which no tropical cyclone affected the state. Collectively, tropical cyclones in Florida resulted in at least 6,504 fatalities and monetary damage of over $90 million (2008 USD). At least 109 boats or ships were either driven ashore, wrecked, or damaged due to the storms.

Wild fires are growing because of an increase in idiots. You have your basic low life, Leftist, Bozo, idiots hanging at government offices and food banks or their home under the overpass, next to the scrap yard, by the tallest garbage pile, on the South side. You have the Gavin Newsom scum sucking 'Man of the Idiots' and an idiot himself, knows what he's talkin about but with all the fraud California has no money to clear their wooded area of brush and discarded explosives or reduce the number of meth labs in the state.
