if China invades Taiwan .. and the CCP just may do it... it will be a bloody conflict that may surpass the casualties in the Ukraine war by a huge margin .. with the modern weapons of today establishing a beachhead on an advanced country like Taiwan could cause millions of deaths on both sides .

As the president and his predecessors have made it clear that the "One China" policy regarding Taiwan remains intact and Trump has also made it clear that he does not want to be a "wartime president," I believe that Taiwan will be on its own, unless Japan helps them. I used to believe that South Korea would step in to help Taiwan, but the South Koreans elected a Marxist Socialist and thus, they may not intervene at all.
Unfortunate as Taiwan has a Democratically elected government that is not favorable to Communism. The dominoes continue to fall.

I am not sure the Trump administration really has a 1 china policy given the tariff differences, but regardless, it would be too difficult to liberate Taiwan once the invasion to start, not that we should even if it weren't
