That must be the high end version. Usually $60 or $70 but with inflation that might be the cost of the base version.

I've played them all from Civ II to Civ VI.

Biggest change was around IV or V where they got rid of unit stacking.

It isn't even really a military sim.

I play plenty of games where not a war or conflict even occurs.


If you need to use your military. . . (unless going for domination,) IMO? You are doing it wrong.

Sorry I play 4 by games to militarily crush my enemy I play WAR GAMES. Not pansy fruit games

I havent grabbed it yet. Ive heard good and bad things about it. Some people arent fond of the civilization change that happens at certain age points, allowing you to completely switch your leader to someone else, but you also have the option to continue with your current leader, which then gives you the opportunity to level him up. Apparently leaders get new abilities as they gain experience, which sounds cool as fuck to me.

Okay, thanks. I was just considering picking it up. I grabbed ARA History Untold but haven't had an opportunity to play that yet.
