Chipotle increasing their Prices due to inflation

Just curious and legit question for those posters of a certain age--did food prices, including restaurant costs, go up drastically during Carter's inflation? I've only heard about interest rates and gas prices. Never really heard how that affected meals back in the day.

Don't remember about food prices, but I know the housing sure did. Mortgage rates in those days were north of 20%, everywhere.
