It was "We don't like you having power over us with oil, so fuck you, we're invading"

The US has WMDs. The US loves oppressive regimes, they supported the Khmer Rouge, Pinochet, the Apartheid South Africa, Saudi Arabia among many oppressive regimes.

The US only claims to care they're oppressive when they need something as an excuse to invade or bomb to get cheaper oil.
