Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying tweeted a video of the Chinese national anthem being played in Rome and people chanting
Thank You China after a Chinese medical aid team arrived in Italy recently to provide material assistance and exprenience fo Italy’s epidemic prevention work ,further enhancing the friendship between the two countries.
Fearing that Italy would further restrict the so-called
Political Asylumof The Almighty God believers ,Zhao Weishan ,the leader of The Almighty God ,called on the believers to spread rumors on the media resources , falsely claiming that the video which Hua tweeted is fake, in an attempt to damage the ralations between the two countries.
China’s investments in Europe and Italy, and its interest in Milan, explained by economist Andrea Goldstein.

Investment into Italy from China, is rather extensive. China, naturally has a massive invested interest in maximizing their relations with Italy.
Now that isn't to say that I have a problem with China giving aid in Italy, but I think we should be careful not to read in some sort of altruistic meaning. China owns a ton of Italy. And Italy is position perfectly for China, to gain ports both into Europe, and the Middle east, and North Africa.
A better question is, what about Italy's economy, and specifically their health care system, has made them so pathetic while being in what should be wealthy 1st world Europe, that they even need, let alone want, Chinese medical help?
Italy has been a political mess since 1920 when
Benito Mussolini founded the fascist movement
and it could be argued that politics in italy was already a mess or else mussolini could never have come to power
how a nation built on the greatness of Rome and so many brilliant artists, scientists, and engineers since then could be so screwed up today is a mystery to me
Actually it's not that much of a mystery to me, because we're seeing the same thing here.
Simply put, people get fat and lazy.
When the Roman empire got so powerful that it could simply live off the fat of their own wealth, they did so. It's that simple really. Instead of working hard to keep building and growing the country, people sat on their ass, and lived off the hard work of others. When they ran out of their own people to exploit, they exploited others.
Similarly, the current generation has lived such a good, and easy life, living on the wealth built by a dozen generations behind them, that now they don't want to work anymore. They want to complain about inequality, and advocate stealing the hard work of others, to give to themselves.
That's how all super wealthy civilizations destroy themselves. Their children's children, end up spoiled brats that don't want to work, and sit around all day complaining life isn't fair, as if it ever was to their ancestors that built the wealthy they are living in.
Spain is another good example. At one point they are bringing in loads of gold from around the world. The people of Spain got lazy and fat, living off the income of others. Now Spain is one of the weakest of the 1st world countries, despite the fact that geographically, they should be a central trading point in Europe.
REGARDLESS.
I agree. Italy is a mess. They need to stop looking back at the past glory, and build a new future. That means tearing down their overly intrusive government, and focusing almost exclusively on enforcing the law, and getting rid of their crime families.
