They were NOT Intelligence people, they were FORMER Intelligence people, and would not have the same level of Intelligence available to them as former intelligence, than the people who actually hold the jobs.

The FORMER intelligence officials made it clear it was their OPINION based on what they knew about how Russia had operated when they served the country, and that they did not know for certain if their gut instincts was correct.

There was nothing illegal with their letter...it would be an expected stance for political supporters of Biden with some knowledge and opinion to share, to do, no matter who they are...and should be taken that way...

It was NOT an official active Government assessment being given, it was an opinion of FORMER intelligence officials....and without having access to the laptop copy that the NY POST had, who refused to give it to outside media, to verify the Post's claims...there was no way for them to know, they could only use their knowledge, to opine.
