I would have to wonder what the problem with the city having people shot 4 or 5 different times. Do people need better guns or shooting practice.

Nah, certain types (Street Urchins) like those 'Saturday Night Special' kind of guns. .22 - .25 - .32 caliber weapons. They'll kill someone if they're hit in the right spot but that's more luck than anything in the street. In the hands of an assassin, those little things are deadly but for the average Street Urchin, it's "Spray and Pray"

Most White Boys like to carry the 9mm. They like Hi-Capacity magazines. The 9mm has come a long way in hitting power but the Hi-capacity magazine is next to useless in civilian use, AFAIC. If you get off 3 or 4 shots, you're lucky.

So I carry a G36. A .45 caliber Hand Gun. When I carry. Which is near to never. Hate carrying. But I'll keep it in my console or somewhere else near me if I'm going into a bad part of town. Which, I don't even do that anymore. Don't have to, so I don't.

Reasoning? I don't really want to put someone in the cemetary, I just want them to leave me alone. If you're dealing with an enraged opppnent, they're not easy to stop or slow down. The adrenaline in an Enraged Human Male can give them near super-human strength and endurance.

A .45 will take them off their feet. That's all I want. I want to "Roll" the bad guy. Put him on the ground, not in it.

Then there's the problem in explaining to the Judge whay you had to shoot Bubba 8 or 9 times. Good luck. And if you had to hit him that many times, he's almost certainly dead. Especially with a 9.

IMHO, a .45 is less likely to kill, more likely to stop someone. because even Bubba has a Mama.
