I'll say it before all of you do: the media frenzy over Cheney's accidental shooting of a hunting companion is just silly (though a few of the jokes are funny, if you're a Democrat). By all accounts, the victim did not properly inform his companions where he was moving, and Cheney did nothing wrong. It is a little bit odd that the White House never formally announced the incident (it was revealed to a local paper by a witness), but they can perhaps be forgiven for being flummoxed. After all, it's been 202 years since a Vice President shot someone.
