Kid, every other person there had a cell phone and was taking video of 200 cops doing nothing while people beat themselves with bats. There is also video of a car running people over and no police pursuing the killer.

A Charlottesville police officer has come forward to express his outrage at being told to “stand down” by the city mayor during violent clashes between protesters.

The officer also claims the protests, which pitched “white supremacists” against members of Antifa, were “set up” to allow for the groups to ignite into exactly what happened.

“We [Charlotesville police] were ordered to bring the rival groups together. As soon as they were in contact with each other, we were told to stand down. It was outrageous. Real people are able to connect the dots. Let's say you hear a crash in the living room, you enter the room and see your six year old son fleeing out the doorway. The vase you got from a small shop in Hong Kong is laying in pieces. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't need video replay to conclude with a high degree of accuracy that the child broke the vase.

But let's discuss it shall we? The police normally position themselves between counter protesting groups to minimize the chance of violence. This wasn't done in Charlottesville. That is not up for debate, it isn't alleged information, it's pretty well documented. But just in case you hadn't heard on Huffington Post or wherever. Let's provide the links.

Now, the why is the question. Was it because the protests and counter protests were so much larger and beyond the scope of what the authorities were prepared for? Since the National Guard was on standby, alerted and ready to move in, I think we can rule that out, since they didn't move an inch.

Now, if the police had been instructed to keep the groups separated, and refused, then you can bet that the Governor, and the Mayor would be shouting that the police failed to prevent the violence.

Instead they're praising the police. Talking about what a great job they had done, especially when faced with people who had better equipment than the police supposedly had access to.

The Police have access to tanks, armored vehicles, the National Guard, air support, and fully automatic weapons which the protestors almost certainly do not.

So if the Governor was praising the action of the police, specifically the decision not to get between the protestors, then that was what they were supposed to do right? But why was that never done before in protests? Why is it that in every other situation where two groups are counter protesting each other, the police keep them seperate?

If it was so dangerous for the cops, why did the Governor leave the National Guard at the base?

I'm sure you have an explanation that considers all the information available and just looks at it differently. I'm certainly anxious to read that. Because all I've read so far to explain it is that it is supposition or worse. So what really happened, and why?
