I actually do, think him mentally ill, as it was an absolutely horrid act, devoid of humanity, yet he is part of the human race. That said.., It is important to point out, I do not believe mental illness, negates danger to society, nor that it excuses behavior, and that people that carry out these kinds of acts, well deserve to be removed for existence after a fair trial, or at the very least, locked away without recourse, or possibility of parole, for the rest of their incarcerated life, if found guilty of committing the act.

That NEEDS to happen. What Charlie Kirk's assassination has revealed is a significant percentage of young Americans think his assassination was at least justified if not celebrated. They need to see this isn't a video game and Charlie Kirk was not a meme.
