I dont think he was Jewish, how he can be Jewish when his religion is not even Judaism. Someone in his family must have practiced Judaism to be a Jew which was obviously not the case, I dont know why some claim that. Maybe because of his slightly atypical look for english that they blame it on jew.

Chaplins mother, notice he had a degree of romani ancestry, and was not fully romani, also english romani have already a higher degree of northern european ancestry, then romani in eastern europe.
