Shopify CEO Tobi Lutke slammed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for not acquiescing to President Donald Trump’s reasonable demands in order to avoid a trade war with the U.S.

On Saturday, Trump announced 25 percent tariffs on most Canadian imports, with the exception of energy resources, which will be taxed at a 10 percent level.

Trudeau responded that same day with a pledge to impose tariffs on an extensive list of U.S. imports.

Lutke lamented the decision from both countries.

I said he was bluffing from the start but then he seemed so serious and committed. Canada needs to be a free nation where citizens can pursue their dreams and not be persecuted by the S.I.C. There is no other First World country in which 43% of adults under 30 would be willing to give up their citizenship for American.

I had a medical emergency yesterday and I went to the hospital and it looked a hospital after a tragic event occurred. Placed was packed and I had to wait for 60 people before I would be seen. I'd probably still be waiting now.

Trump's supporters are NOT behind his tariffs at all. They're terrified of what happened last time. The US trade deficit increased by 30%. Biden was able to recover most of what was lost in the Trump years in terms of jobs, but not the balance of trade. It's still over $1 trillion, as a direct result of Trump's last trade war.

The HOSPITAL isn't where you go. GO TO THE DOCTOR. DOCTORS DO ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT. HOSPITALS ARE FOR EMERGENCIES THAT CAN'T WAIT. And they just patch you up and send you back to YOUR DOCTOR.
