Celebrity Justice?

Wasn't the Vegas District Attorney aware that there are cameras everywhere in every hotel and casino on the Strip? If he wasn't he should be fired and if he was he should be fired for not getting the video of Ray Rice knocking his wife out in an elevator. The Vegas system quickly allowed Rice to cop a plea for a couple of hours of "counseling" after it was reported that he dragged his unconscious wife out of the elevator.

Why would a Vegas D.A. disregard his sworn oath to prosecute felons to the fullest extent of the law in this case? It wasn't about money, it was about celebrity status and possible a little racial fear entered into it.
