As usual people talk about the gun. Cedric had a criminal history, including drugs, violence and guns.
The question that should be asked is not "how did he get the gun" but "should he have even been walking the streets at all." He obviously had these tendencies for years, regardless of if he was a Pastor or not. What were his crimes, were they prosecuted, if not why not?
If I lived in that area I would be demanding to know how the system allowed this to happen. Maybe the system did all it could, that is possible. But if the system failed, isn't that a more important question than the gun that was used?
