CBS News Poll: 70% of voters think President Trump is keeping his campaign promises

CBS Poll: Trump at 53% Job Approval, 59% Approve of Deportations

10 Feb 2025 ~~ By John Nolte

Far-left CBS News got some bad news from its latest poll. Currently, 53 percent of the public approves of the job President Donald Trump’s doing and 59 percent approve of his deportation of illegal aliens.
What’s most fascinating about this particular poll is that it’s not a poll of voters. Rather, it’s a poll of 2,175 U.S. adults. The GOP tends to poll better with tighter screening for registered voters and likely voters. There is nothing wrong with an “adults” poll, but knowing the fake news artists at CBS News, it’s not unreasonable to assume they asked for an “adults” poll hoping these numbers would be lower.
Ha ha.
Here are the most intriguing findings…
Currently, 53 percent of the job Trump is doing as president while only 47 percent disapprove.
An obviously unhappy Margaret Brennan told her Face the Nation audience Sunday that this was the best showing for Trump ever in the CBS News poll…

What Trump is doing is leading, and despite a decade of character assassination, phony impeachments, phony felony charges, and a full-blown assault from every level of the establishment, people now trust Trump more than the establishment, especially the media establishment.
The people are with him. That’s everything in politics.

Commentary:
The polls are showing the majority of people in our country are tired of Neo- Marxist Democrats destroying our country and are happy that a President is in office who sincerely cares and fights for all Americans.
Trump has way outperformed Reagan, the Bush's Clinton Obama and Biden.
Trump is taking illegals out of the country as opposed to RR who made illegals citizens and his predecessors.
Really little to compare the two leaders, starting from the obvious RR was a seasoned politician, while DJT is/was a businessman.
The differences between the two men are really quite striking.
Leftist heads exploding!! lol

Then the real number is easily over 80%.

We're witnessing the death rattle of the neo-Marxist WEF left in Murica.
If you think their bullshit will be over with after Trump is done you'll be disappointed.

This is CBS News, mind you. Not FOX, not Newsmax, not the Gateway Pundit. CBS News.

Promises made, promises kept.

Even Republicans Are Challenging Trump’s Claim That His Venezuela Campaign Is About Drugs

In his first year back in office, President Trump reshaped U.S. drug policy and the response to fentanyl deaths in sweeping, often chaotic fashion, rapidly dismantling efforts launched by the Biden administration aimed at expanding drug treatment.

Many experts credit Biden-era public health policies with saving tens of thousands of lives. But with new laws, executive orders, budget cuts, and military redeployments, Trump pivoted the nation from those strategies to a militarized drug war.

"From day one of the Trump administration we declared an all-out war on the dealers, smugglers, traffickers and cartels," Trump said in July, during a signing ceremony for the Halt Fentanyl Act.

Indeed, many of Trump's new drug policy initiatives are based on claims that drug policy researchers describe as wildly inflated or wholly inaccurate. One of his first major fentanyl-related actions was an executive order signed in February imposing steep tariffs on Canadian products, because of what Trump described as Canada's "central role" in fentanyl smuggling

But data from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration shows Canada plays almost no role in the U.S. fentanyl crisis. In 2024, roughly 43 pounds of fentanyl was seized at America's northern border. That compares with roughly 21,100 pounds seized at the southern border.

And is this why he invaded? Wag the dog to change the subject from Epstein and his horrible economy?
If this is wagging the dog, all your favorite party has to do is hijack a camera and microphone and start singing 'Epstein...Epstein'. Dems dropped the Epstein issue way before Trump provided humanitarian assistance to Venezuela.....most likely due to the fact there isn't anything incriminating Trump in the files, just big fatcat dem donors and personalities.

Even Republicans Are Challenging Trump’s Claim That His Venezuela Campaign Is About Drugs

Rubio put it all into perspective, Byron York:

The next morning, Rubio hit the morning shows to flesh out the administration’s position. He explained that the United States will not be “running” Venezuela in the sense of appointing its officials, rewriting its laws, and manning its offices. Instead, the U.S. aims to steer Venezuelan officials away from corruption in the nation’s oil business, away from narcotics trafficking, away from mass migration, and toward better relations with the U.S.

“Right now we have to take the first steps, and the first steps are securing what’s in the national interest of the United States and also beneficial to the people of Venezuela,” Rubio told NBC’s Meet the Press. “And those are the things that we’re focused on right now: No more drug trafficking, no more Iran/Hezbollah presence there, and no more using the oil industry to enrich all of our adversaries around the world and not benefiting the people of Venezuela or, frankly, benefiting the United States and the region.”

Rubio stressed that the key to the plan is the oil that supports the country’s entire economy. “We don’t need Venezuela’s oil,” he said. “We have plenty of oil in the United States. What we’re not going to allow is for the oil industry in Venezuela to be controlled by adversaries of the United States. Why does China need their oil? Why does Russia need their oil? Why does Iran need their oil? They’re not even in this continent. This is the Western Hemisphere. This is where we live, and we’re not going to allow the Western Hemisphere to be a base of operation for adversaries, competitors, and rivals of the United States. It’s as simple as that.”

The U.S. has tremendous “leverage” over Venezuela, Rubio said, because the U.S. can block the country’s oil transactions. “We have a quarantine on their oil,” he told ABC’s This Week. “That means their economy will not be able to move forward until the conditions that are in the national interest of the United States and the interests of the Venezuelan people are met.”

We will be telling it's officials what to do. Got it.

We don't need their oil? But we NEED Greenland? So we're just going to take it?

We have tremendous leverage? That's captain obvious.

You guys are such hypocrites. Iraq, now this? If you want to go to war vote GOP

I'm just glad Hillary didn't vote for it. You own what comes next.

It's going to be a long year.
Epstein is biting your Cult in the ass, Stupid.

4.3% GDP growth
2.7% inflation.
Record stock markets

You clearly have no connection to reality, and the only time you didn't lie on this board is when you posted that you always lie. :auiqs.jpg:

Somebody has to do something to break the cycle. Would you rather have China or Russia do it for you?

I doubt they would break the cycle either.

We didn't 'take' anything.

You think I'm buying those numbers? You've been lyin non stop. I'm not even going to look into your fake numbers.

OMG, you're probably bragging about Christmas sales. LOL. Just wait

Last week tariffs only raised prices .7%. Impossible.

Yes, corporations love ******* over the middle class. Trump's BBB tax bill he passed is a big win for them. At our expense. Now you're going to gaslight us like you did in the Bush years.

I figured taking Venezuela was a done deal the way you guys are talking. Sounds to me like that's not true.

Vice President Delcy Rodriguez — who also serves as oil minister — has taken over as interim leader with the blessing of Venezuela’s top court and has said Maduro remains president.

Rodriguez has long been considered the most pragmatic member of Maduro’s inner circle. But she has publicly contradicted Trump’s claim she is willing to work with the United States.

If the numbers are fake, people will be able to tell, as their lives don't match the expected.

IF the numbers are real,... that changes EVERYTHING.

That means that the doom sayers about the tariffs were completely wrong. Even the more moderate and reasonable ones.
