The NDP who propped up the Liberals and refused to hold an election when most of the nation wanted one when Trudeau was in power are a big reason why this result occurred.

There were suggestions by some that Singh, the leader of the NDP, didn't want to hold an election until he received his full pension for 4 years of Federal service. I dont know if this is true or.not but his loyalty as official opposition was shocking to many who follow politics.

If Trudeau is not replaced for this election than the Conservatives surely would have won, even with all of their flaws. NDP have lost a tonne of votes, dropping like a rock this election, citizens dont trust them any more, they resent them I think. They and the Bloc Quebecois left their parties.and voted mostly Liberal.

Conservatives in Canada are far from civil Libertarians who loudly argued for the Charter of Rights and that has been their downfall for a few elections. They have many cops running under the Conservative banner and the S.I.C has been bankrupting us as record homelessness and poverty spread in Ontario and elsewhere so...

They are not tied. Not even in the popular vote this time, which the conservatives won in 2021. The main reason for this success is Quebec losing BQ votes which went to the Liberals and also the NDP propping up the Trudeau government when they were really unpopular. Singh, NDPs leader; promptly resigns after the loss last night. Basically Singh helped the liberals and while Canadas economy collapsed, cost of living skyrockets.along with homelessness, he refused to call an election as they knew the conservatives would win. He was in effect, a closet liberal. As soon as the election ends.he resigns,.his job is now done. We will see how Carney does, Trump will not be an eay negotiator.

The last thing they want is Canandians suddenly demanding true civil liberties here too. I can tell you this much, if Trump had focused on these civil liberty issues rather than other issues, issues he might nit be well versed in I understand, it isnt the focus of his career, regardless, he might have REALLY have impacted the election as Canadians would ask and demand change from politicians. If there is anytning Trump can do it would be this, put a spotlight on Canadian civil liberty abuses. Set up a simple U.S government agency of 10 people to listen to Canadian civil liberty/human right complants and I GUARANTEE a shift in Canada far closer to the U.S Constitution.
