Inflation affects insurance like it affects everything else.

Car parts and repairs are way higher now due to inflationary pressures and healthcare costs have so escalated that the medical coverage in your auto insurance has to cover proportionately higher costs. That plus the overhead--labor, physical structures, utilities, their own fire and liability insurance as well as E & O etc., and all the other costs of doing business are substantially more costly in these inflationary times.

So we are paying a whole lot more for insurance than we used to along with all other necessities.
