Canada already applies tariffs on a variety of products. It doesn't help us, since we don't buy much in Canada, we're broke. Even WITH a tariff, U.S made products would probably still be much cheaper than Canadian made goods.

When we compare egg and milk prices on here, or, when I think of how many Canadians do the "cross border weekend trip to Buffalo", especially near Black Friday or whatever you guys call it, I know that even with a much cheaper dollar and tariffs, your prices are far better.

Canadians are broke, especially in Ontario, the most indebted sub borrowing jurisdiction on the planet. We will buy whatever is cheaper. A tariff will only make U.S products slightly less cheaper, of this I am certain.

Also, the Canadian government tried to convince Canadians that they wouldn't apply tariffs because "they only hurt the consumer". That's the narrative we push because we are a fake trading nation (though state run and creepy covert cops within our industries so free market is rarely stated) and don't want others to do it to us. Funny how fast tariffs are now fashionable in Canada.

You take our best talent and crush our industries. I'm on enough forums to hear directly from Canadians, especially talented, recent grads. We know that since we refuse to reform, the weakest business "leaders" among us are just hanging on to the old creepy British Loyalist system
