Canada Retaliates

U.S. auto industry is in the tariff crosshairs[/url]

Cars that are made in America aren't only made in America — they're made across North America.

  • As a result, Trump's across-the-board tariffs on all trade with Mexico or Canada risks making U.S. autos much more expensive than foreign imports.

The big picture: With modern supply chains, a single component in a vehicle can cross the U.S. border between six and eight times before final assembly.

If the Canadian retaliatory tariffs are withdrawn, it will be because Trump caves. As he should.
Judging from most of the responses so far, it's clear they have no idea what's actually going on or how macroeconomics works (as we already knew). Hey, who cares about Canadian beer! Derp! Standard half-inch-deep thinking.

Anyway, this could go in pretty much any direction, although I don't know if Trump would cave. The last thing he'd do is admit he was wrong, so he'd have to come up with some excuse. Or the other folks could cave. History is mixed on trade wars.

Regular Trumpian chaos.

We import Sidewinder missiles from Canada.

Do you know what those are?

They are the most used air-to-air missiles in our inventory. We have imported over 100,000 of them.

Omfg lol

Idiot.
And?? Who are we giving them away to now?

but hey we do enjoy watching it bother you,,
It's bothering your pension fund manager, too.

Dow futures drop more than 450 points after Trump hits U.S. trading partners with tariffs: Live updates

Looks like the submissive cucks have already forgotten what happened the last time Trump hit China and Mexico with tariffs in his first regime.

Our trade imbalances with both hit all-time highs. The highest in US history.

So go ahead and chuckle like morons. Omfg lol

Idiot.

If Canada produces sidewinders why did they recently purchase sidewinders to the tune of around 200 million from the US? Idiot

This is going to be an extremely interesting next couple of days... Trump seems intent on fighting on multiple fronts.

The last guy that tried that on any sort of continental scale blew his brains out in an underground concrete box.

Try one-at-a-time if you're gonna try this kind of $hit... Think before you Act...
Trump isn't fighting, son.

He's doing what's right for America.

Different concept.

It's amusing that the left thinks that Canada is retaliating when in fact, it is the USA.
