This same thing has been done for years, only the threshold was 10K. I see NO reason to go here but the over the top rhetoric is scary.

They are trying to catch people depositing $150,000 over the course of the year but claiming $30,000 in income. The problem is that people will figure a way around it just like they did with the 10k limit.
